Abstract : Effect of Azadirachta indica (NIMBA) leaf extract on serotonin inhibition in glucose mediated insulin release in rat pancreas was studied in vitro to elucidate the possible mechanism of anti hyperglycemic effect of A. indica leaf extract. A. indica leaf extract blocks significantly (P less than 0.05) the inhibitory effect of serotonin on insulin secretion mediated by. glucose.
