Abstract : The works of Hinayana and Mahayana Schools of Buddhism have enumerated nearly 350 medicinal plants and classified them into various groups along with their component parts on the pattern of Caraka Samhita. A list of medicinal plants (313 only) has been furnished in Devanagri alphabetical order without botanical names. The letters H and M denotes their source from the works of Hinayana and Mahayana, respectively.
