Abstract : Ayurveda has its own code of standards for drugs/medicines. In their code, proper collection method of crude drugs, their preservation and expiry period of different medicines such as KASHAYA, CHURNA, GHEE, AVALEHA etc are well documented. Moreover, the modern technology gives us a few more methods to adopt. An attempt to review all these aspects with a desire to make the subject more informative and adoptable has been dealt with.
