Title :  STANDARDISATION OF ELATICCURANAM.
Abstract :      Elaticcuranam, a Siddha compound formulation containing eight herbal drugs viz., Eugenia aromatica (Lavanga) (flower buds), Piper nigrum (MARICAM) (fruits), Cinnamomum wightii, (flowers), Taxus baccata (Talisa) (leaves),  Manihot utilissima (Sakarkand)  (rhizome), Zingiber officinale (SUNTI) (rhizome),  Elettaria cardamomum (Ela) (seed) and cane sugar, was prepared and chemically analysed to lay down standards. Thin layer chromatographic technique was also employed to characterize the respective chemical constituents. The evolved parameters along with the chemical markers can be used for prescribing dependable standards to this medicine.
